Somizi slams rumours, denies dating, says he is enjoying being single

South African media personality Somizi Mhlongo has once again denied being in a romantic relationship with a new person and says he is enjoying being single.

Earlier this week the star was reported to have found love in his childhood friend Bongani Mfihlo a music DJ.

According to a search on Bongani’s Instagram page, the pair has been sharing some quality time together but they maintain that they are just friends.

Speaking about the rumors Somizi said, “No this is difficult… so I’m not allowed to be seen with any male… this means I will be finding many new loves…. it’s actually very nice being in singlehood.

@b_bongzie askies my friend don’t worry you will be replaced soon enjoy it whilst this new love lasts lol,” wrote Somizi.

The Idols SA judge is currently going through a messy divorce with estranged husband, Mohale Motaung.

He has also denied physically or emotionally abusing Mohale as per the allegations.

“Our relationship has had it’s ups and downs but I have never been physically or knowingly emotionally abusive towards my estranged husband. I vehemently deny the allegations of criminal acts towards him and would like to clear my name of that defamation,” said Somizi.
