Nigerian actor Uche Maduagwu has opened a can of worms on Nigerian ministers and actresses. The actor says a high percentage of ministers in the country are gay and about 98% of Nigerian actresses have received car gifts from married gay men.
He posted this on his Instagram page stating he was a โgay by birthrightโ and he knows a number of female colleagues who got car gifts from married gay women.
โBeing gay is my birthright so donโt try to change me ko le work Naija actresses who criticize me are not God more than half of current Nigerian ministers na gay and over 98% popular actresses got car gifts from married gay rich men this year,โ he wrote.
The actor recently came out as gay but was slammed by actress Victoria Inyama saying he was just trying to ridicule the LGBTQ community.
โYou are clearly ridiculing the LGBTQ community and starting a brouhaha that will consume you. I can authoritatively tell you that this is either your way of getting attention for your movie or you are battling with a mental issue.
โThis post right here is caused by poverty or oblique allusion. This innuendo of lying about being gay is absolutely wrong and insensitive,โ said Victoria attacking Uche.
Uche had posted saying, โAppreciate others and share only love, we need to respect peopleโs choices not to judge them so letโs practice Jesus kind of love,โ he wrote while coming out of the closet.
