Connie Ferguson remembers Shona on their 20th wedding anniversary

Its four months since South African filmmaker Shona Ferguson died from Covid-19 complications. Tuesday also marked 20 years since the late star and his wife Connie tied the knot.

Shona’s widow, Connie took to social media to celebrate and pay tribute to her late husband.

She posted a picture from their wedding reception with the caption, “This day 20 years ago. (bride, ring and heart emojis) 4 months without you Sho. Today I’m not okay…”

For the past four months on this day Connie together with her two children, Ali Ferguson and Lesego Matsunyane-Ferguson have been posting paying tribute to him.

On Tuesday morning Lesego also posted a touching message to her father.

She wrote, “I liked it better when you were our angel on earth; at least I could nag you on if you’d eaten or find you seated weirdly on the couch or catch you up on everything MCU related.

“The more time that passed the more I feel like I left too many things unsaid.”

Ali also posted on her Instagram page saying: “Always thinking about you Fa. I love you. 4 months.”

Since his passing, Shona has been posthumously making giant strides winning multiple awards.

Over the weekend he was honoured at the third annual GQ Men of the Year Awards. Last month his Netflix original drama series Kings of Joburg scooped three international awards at the Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards (HAPA).
