South Africa’s internationally celebrated DJ Black Coffee is over the moon after receiving a Grammy nomination.
The DJ is nominated in the Best Dance/ Electronic Album category for his latest album, ‘Subconsciously’.
He has admitted that he is over the moon and the nomination has left him speechless.
Posting on his twitter he simply said, “I have no words. @recordingacademy nomination. #subconsciously.”
He is set to battle it out with other international DJs, Major Lazer, Marshmello, Sylvan Esso and Ten City.
He also took the nomination opportunity as a chance to share some words of wisdom.
He wrote, “Yesterday’s price is not today’s price #GRAMMY.”
The star has been touring the world and has managed to scoop several awards in South Africa, five international DJ Awards and a BET.
Fans were also overjoyed by the nomination and took to social media to congratulate him with many predicting a win for the ‘grootman.’
