DJ Maphorisa’s ghost writer mystery continues as K.O says its not him

Date:

The mystery over who wrote DJ Maphorisa’s killer verse on hit single ‘Izolo’ continues after rapper K.O denied claims that he wrote the verse.

After the release of Izolo by DJ Maphorisa as Madumane featuring the late Mpura, Daliwonga and Visca music lovers questioned who wrote Maphorisa’s verse.

A number of local rappers were said to have written the verse. At first rumor claimed the verse was written by rapper Reason while some claimed it was written by Cassper Nyovest.

Now fans have thrown the ball at K.O saying he is the man behind the verse.

Hip Hop blog SAhiphop 247 tweeted that it was K.O who wrote the verse and taught Phori how to flow.

K.O quickly responded to the bogus claim but gave Phori a tap on the shoulder for the amazing work he is doing in the music industry.

“Big cap! The homies are crushing the game all on their own. Just salute!” wrote K.O.

Reason did not directly respond to fans who are overly convinced that Phori did not write the verse but tweeted saying he doesn’t ‘ghost write’.

“I don’t ghost write. I co-write,” said Reason.

In a different tweet he revealed that although he doesn’t ghost write he is always keen to share his skills with other artists by co-writing.

He wrote, “ask anybody around me. I’m all about sharing ideas for Everyone to win. Even the next big hip hop song was written by me. Cause that’s what I do. I share!!”
