Most South African celebrities shared how this news brought joy to their hearts because of how de Klerk was instrumental during the apartheid regime.

In a series of tweets Pearl shared her strong opinions saying he didn’t deserve a state funeral and she would mobilize people to disrupt the funeral.

“If FW de Klerk gets a state funeral that would be a huge middle finger to the people who suffered under the apartheid regime in this country,” wrote Pearl.

She continued, “In fact we must disrupt that funeral if it’s declared a state funeral. There’s just no way.”

She added that she felt nothing about the death.

“I feel a bit weird to celebrate anyone’s death. I’m indifferent about him being dead or alive. Maybe he was already dead to me because I’m definitely not sad.”
