Jerusalema’s Nomcebo Zikode to make appearance on ‘Love and Hip Hop’

Date:

South Africa’s internationally acclaimed singer Nomcebo Zikode is set to grace the big screens with her presence on America’s reality show Love & Hip Hop.

Nomcebo made the big announcement via her Instagram account sharing how excited she was for the opportunity.

She captioned the snap: “Guess who’s gonna be on the biggest show of America: VH!’s Love & Hip Hop… With the producer Mona.”

The video shared by the singer gives her fans a glimpse into what happened behind the scenes. Nomcebo is seen strutting her stuff with two of her dancers on set.

Love & Hip Hop executive producer Mona Scott-Young commented on Nomcebo’s post thanking her for agreeing to be part of the show.

She wrote, “It was absolutely wonderful spending time with you and again, THANK YOU.”

Zikode is currently on her Jerusalema International tour and is set to rock North America next month.

Back home Nomcebo is caught up in a battle for royalties and royalties after she released a statement two months ago alleging she was being ridiculed and her contributions to Jerusalema were being ‘minimised’ by the record label.

In response Mastee KG and the recording company, Open Mic said Nomcebo was now asking for more than what was initially agreed.

“We can confirm that during the creation of the song that Master KG (the main artist) and Nomcebo Zikode (the featured artist) agreed on sharing 50/50 of Master KG’s earnings. The featured artist’s agreement, which reflected an equal split between the two artists, was drafted last year.

“Nomcebo Zikode through her legal team reviewed the contract and proposed for a higher percentage. Since then there has been back and forth engagements,” read part of the statement.

No agreement has been reached between the artists and the matter is still ongoing.
