“I am 100% gay” Nigerian actor Uche Maduagwu makes another U-turn

Date:

Nigerian actor Uche Maduagwu has made another dramatic u-turn about his sexuality, this time around declaring he is ‘100% gay’.

A few weeks ago Uche said he was not gay but was just supporting gay rights in Nigeria. This time around for the second time in five months he has declared himself as a gay man.

Taking aim at the President for failing to protect the LGBT community, Uche posted on Instagram saying, “I am 100% GAY not even Buhari can take away my Jesus given identity.”

Captioning his post he said “A president that cannot protect LGBT should go I am a Nigerian before being a celebrity respect my fundamental human right or resign #naija belong to everyone not just kunu drinking Fulani herdsmen #gay #share,” he wrote.

In January, Uche via his Instagram page announced he was gay and very proud of his sexuality. Three months later he came out saying he didn’t mean what he said but was just speaking on behalf of the LGBT community.

“Dear fans, I am not gay. I lost movie roles, endorsements and my girlfriend fighting for LGBT rights in Nigeria.

“OMG, even my girlfriend left me despite knowing I was fighting for LGBT rights in Naija but I no regret using my celebrity status to fighting for this beautiful community,” he wrote in April.

Now that he has made a second U-turn on his sexuality, it’s not clear if he is genuine or ‘fighting for gay rights’ again as was the case earlier this year.
