AKA to stage comeback following shock death of fiancée Anele Tembe

Date:

South African rapper AKA is set to make his come back to the showbiz scene before the end of this month after spending weeks grieving the loss of his fiancée, Anele Tembe.

According to South African television personality, Anele Mdoda, AKA will make his return by joining various artists in performing at the annual 947 Huawei Joburg Day on the 28th of May.

AKA will perform alongside South Africa’s top artists including his ex and baby mama DJ Zinhle, Black Motion and MiCasa.

AKA has not yet confirmed the event as in his last public statement indicated that he will be off social media for a while and requests that he be given privacy to mourn the love of his life.

In his last public statement the Jika rapper revealed that he was going through a rough time and he is still trying to process everything.

“I have lost the love of my life…and every day feels like a mountain to climb. I miss Anele, so much and I’m heartbroken at the unfulfilled life we had planned together.”

“The tragic loss of Anele has taken a great toll on me emotionally and psychologically. Insinuations and innuendos made on my personhood have made it even more difficult to process, and the strain our families have taken is unspeakable.

“Which is why at this time I choose to retreat to honour my journey, praying that the moments of stillness may bring me closer to some clarity,” read part of his statement.

Anele died early last month after falling from the 10th floor of a hotel building in Cape Town. Circumstances leading to her death are still sketchy but her father suspected she might have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
