SOUTH AFRICA – Wedding bells are tolling for Mafikizolo frontwoman Nhlanhla Mafu, who is set to marry her childhood friend this week, five years after her divorce from businessman and politician Thembinkosi TK Nciza.
Nhlanhla and her husband-to-be, known only as Jerry, have reportedly been dating for a few years.
In an Instagram post on Monday, Nhlanhla announced that a union was now on the horizon.
“So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore, what God has put together, let not man separate,” she posted.
In an interview with Zimoja, Nhlanhla revealed that more details about her marriage would be revealed on her big day.
“All will be revealed in due time but all I can tell you is that I’m very excited about 04.10.24; it’s a special date for me (us),’ she bragged.
The singer separated from her ex-husband Thembinkosi TK Nciza in 2015 and they had four children together. The former couple were married in 2004, and in 2017 they renewed their vows but sadly two years after that, they divorced.
Nhlanhla used her ex-husband’s surname for a long time but ditched it for her maiden surname when she found love again and was ready to move on.
While she has kept the identity of her partner private on social media, she does not shy away from gushing over him from time to time.
In December 2022, Nhlanhla caused a stir on social media after she posted her family’s Christmas pictures, which featured a man who was turned away from the camera. This led to speculation that she had found new love.
“You put the Merry in my Christmas,” she wrote as the caption of that post.
