Master KG’s smash hit ‘Jerusalema’ hits 300 million Spotify streams

Master KG’s winning streak continues as he reaches yet another milestone of 300 million streams on music streaming platform Spotify.

Since the beginning of the global coronavirus pandemic Master KG’s song Jerusalema become a beacon of hope to the world which enabled him to scoop several accolades.

According to Spotify data, Master KG’s album Jerusalema, featuring the hit and it’s variations, has reached over 300 million streams.

Earlier this year Nigerian singer Burna Boy was reportedly the African record holder on Spotify for having 100 million streams on three of his albums, it seems Master KG has broken the record and set the bar even higher.

Catching the wind of his feat, ecstatic Master KG took to twitter to share the good news with his followers.

Master KG had not much words but just rocket emojis indicated he’s on his way up.

Responding to the singer’s post, fans asked him if he could spare a few thousands like he did last time.

@Ola2963611 said, “1 Tao (thousand) for celebration grootman.”

Another follower @Godisblack said, “Can i have 1tao or R500 please Master KG.”

Some were genuinely happy for the singer. @Uncle T said, “Congratulations brother you deserve more wanitwa mus.”

“This is proof that quality music matters a lot. Look what you have achieved with just one banger of a song. Congrats KG. Limpopo’s finest product!!”

Meanwhile Master KG has not begun enjoying royalties from the song as he is caught up in battle for royalties with Nomcebo Zikode who is allegedly demanding more than the initially agreed 50% share.
