In a public statement AKA says he is struggling with moving on and each day ‘feels like a mountain to climb.”

“I have lost the love of my life… and every day feels like a mountain to climb. I miss Anele so much, and I’m broken at the unfulfilled life we had planned together,” he said.

He says the unfortunate event has taken a ‘great toll’ on him emotionally and psychologically saying: “Insinuations and innuendoes made about my personhood have made it even more difficult to process, and the strain our families have taken is unspeakable.”

The Jika rapper requested that his privacy should be respected as he continues to grieve;

“Please respect our privacy as we go through our grieving process, and please continue to keep our families in your prayers.”

The pair got engaged in February and later that month, AKA paid Lobola for her and hinted they would have a wedding soon.
