Big Zulu to confront Somizi over criticism of his ‘Imali Eningi’ hit song

Date:

Musician and actor Big Zulu has revealed that he will confront media personality, Somizi Mhlongo over his criticism of the trending song Imali Eningi during the KZN entertainment awards which were held last week at the ICC Arena in Durban.

Somizi said Imali Eningi by Big Zulu featuring Riky Rick and Intaba Yase Dubai was not a good song as some South Africans could not relate to the song and he wouldn’t do the Duduzane Zuma challenge –walking with bodyguards while the song played in the background, because he was rich already and had a lot of money so he doesn’t wish to have more money as the song says.

These remarks did not go well with the rapper and he responded saying he wants to confront Somizi face to face.

Responding to the comments, Big Zulu said he was going to confront the Idols SA judge when the two meet otherwise he will not dignify the criticism with a response in the absence of Somizi.

“What Somizi said was his opinion and I will not entertain him. I will not talk about someone when they are not present as he did. I want to confront him and tell him what I think about his criticism. I don’t have a problem with him and I will address him when we meet,” said Big Zulu.

Big Zulu peaked to stardom after Duduzane Zuma hyped his Imali Eningi song with his famous walk protected by a number of bodyguards. The song has topped charts in South Africa and beyond and is currently trending with more than 3 million YouTube views.
