Former South African president Thabo Mbeki has paid tribute to Andrew Mlangeni, a political activist, anti-apartheid campaigner and human rights defender who, along with Nelson Mandela and others, was imprisoned after the infamous Rivonia Trial.
The body of ANC struggle stalwart Andrew Mlangeni has arrived at his home today. The 95-year-old veteran, who was the last surviving Rivonia Trialist, died at the 1 Military Hospital in Pretoria last week, after complaining about having abdominal pain.
Well-wishes continued to pour in yesterday for Rivonia Treason trialist Andrew Mlangeni, who is recovering after spending a second day in a Cape Town hospital where he is being treated for an infection.
