Fans tip actor Mduduzi Mabaso to play Mandoza in upcoming biopic

Fans of veteran South African actor Mduduzi Mabaso are vouching for him to take on the role of Mandoza in his upcoming biopic.

Fans believe Mabaso -who is popular for his role of Mgedeza on DiepCity- could nail the character as he looks like the late musician and even talks like him.

According to entertainment commentator Phil Mphela, BET Africa is setting up a Mduduzi ‘Mandoza’ Tshabalala Biopic in his honour.

The Nkalakatha hitmaker passed away in September 2016 after his battle with pharyngeal cancer.

Mandoza’s biopic will be BET’s second biopic project after Lebo Mathosa’s in 2019 which was titled Dream: The Lebo Mathosa Story, 13 years after her death.

Mandoza’s story is still in the writing and development stage.
