South African gqom star Babes Wodumo and husband Kwaito legend Mampintsha have welcomed their first child together.
Congratulations were in order on June 16 as the celebrity couple made it known to the public that they had received their bundle of joy.
Mampintsha posted a picture of his wife and their bundle of joy with the caption: “Imithandazo yenu isebenzile ngyabonga” (Your prayers worked, Thank you).
Friends and fans of the couple showered them with congratulatory messages and best wishes in raising the child.
DJ Tira who is friends with the couple shared a picture of the couple cuddling their baby on a hospital bed with the caption, Congratulations guys.”
‘OMG. She has a baby,” commented DJ Zinhle.
“I’m happy for you. We love you so much, please shower that baby with love. We can’t wait to see the next baby bump,” commented one follower.
Another fan commented wishing Babes a speedy recovery and also said she was praying that postpartum depression doesn’t affect the way she raises her baby. “A lot of women go through this and if it happens to hit you, just know that you’re not alone and we love you beyond measure.”
Early this year in March the couple confirmed that they were pregnant and were expecting a plus one soon. In April they went on to tie the knot in a traditional wedding.
