New School rapper, Tshego is dragging Cassper Nyovest to court after accusing him of not paying royalties from the music he made whilst under his record label.
Tshego says Cassper has not paid him a cent from the music he made under Family Tree, Cassper’s recording label. The young rapper has run out of patience and has dragged Mufasa to court.
“If I told you I haven’t seen a single cent (sales) from ‘Hennesy’; ‘Gerden’ ; ‘The Vibe’; Tell Em Say’; ‘So high’ ; ‘Dem Ah Wind’; etc… what would you say? Mind you I own the masters on all these song!” said Tshego.
The ‘Hennessey’ hit make has revealed that he had taken the battle to the courts.
“Been fighting a very silent legal battle. And when I win this case on Monday the humble sh**t stops,” he said.
Commenting on his twitter post one follower brought up a tweet from long back when Tshego praised Cassper for not milking money from his artistes.
“I won’t lie, our deal with Family Tree is basically unheard of. Cass does not make any money from his artists right now by choice. And that allowed us to create an environment where everyone is their own boss with their own terms, but contributing to one goal,” he once tweeted.
Meanwhile Cassper is also being sued by DJ Sumbody on fraud allegations.
Responding to DJ Sumbody’s accusations Cass said, “they can keep writing about me every week!!! It has never worked and t will never work!!! Keep typing ni***as !!! Type until your fingers are blue!!!”
