The families of Boeing crash victims are to receive compensation from the company after 340 people lost their lives in crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia earlier in the year.
All Boeing 737 Max 8 and 9 aircraft will remain grounded at least until May after the fatal Ethiopian Airlines crash on Sunday, the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has said.
Pretoria – Comair has decided to remove the 737 MAX 8 from its flight schedule, although neither regulatory authorities nor the manufacturer has required it to do so, executive director of Comair’s airline division Wrenelle Stander said on Monday.
