Mzansi celebs pray for actor Israel Zulu amid leg amputation reports

Date:

South African celebrities have joined forces to pray for legendary “Gomora” actor Israel Matseke Zulu amid tragic reports his leg was amputated two weeks ago at a Sandton hospital due to his struggle with gangrene.

Israel previously opened up about being diagnosed with gangrene which left him semi-crippled.

Earlier this week he said he did not want to speak about his health but a time will come for him to open up to his concerned fans.

Fellow public figures took to their social media platforms to post well wishing messages for the Gomora actor.

Amapiano star Lady Du posted a heartfelt message on her Instagram with a Bible verse.

“The industry is tough. It is tough times. I’d like to send my prayers for your strength, sir. We support you Israel Matseke Zulu,” wrote Lady Du.

Media personality Refilwe Modiselle also commented saying, “Prayers up for abuti (brother) Israel Matseke-Zulu. God is the author of our narrative. Akahlulwa ngulutho (Nothing is impossible with him). Another testimony loading,” she wrote.

Award winning gospel star Bucy Radebe posted a picture of Israel on her timeline with the caption: “Today I just want to say to Izzy what you are going through is beyond utterance but it’s all in the will of God. This is not the end of your career. Rely on the only one who can count tears and His name is God. You will rise again.”

Last month Israel revealed that he was exiting Mzansi Magic’s telenovela Gomora due to health concerns. Sources have revealed that producers of the show are planning to bring him back after he’s fully recovered.
