Zodwa Wabantu’s Instagram account held at ransom by hackers
South African entertainer Zodwa Wabantu has revealed that she had a back and forth argument with hackers who held her Instagram account at ransom.
The reality TV star and dancer took to Instagram informing her over 1.7 million followers that she was hacked and also warned them to be on the watch for scammers.
In a statement posted on her socials she said, “My account was hacked by unknown hacker. After much back and forth I have since gotten my account back.”
In her statement the dancer revealed that the hacker tried scamming some of her fans by making demands.
“I would like to thank my people for standing with me and not buying into the demands of the hacker. I’m happy to be back and looking forward to enjoying Instagram with people again,” she added.
In a different story last week Zodwa made headlines after a fan slipped his hands into Zodwa’s private parts while she was dancing on stage.
The controversial socialite seemed chilled with the gesture and at one point she told her fans on social media that she didn’t care what people did to her whenever she’s on stage.
She however emphasised that she walks away whenever she feels uncomfortable.
“Guys, whether you touch me or whether you do whatever to me when I am on stage, I don’t have a problem with that,” Zodwa said at the time.
