Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha tie the knot in traditional wedding
South African Gqom Queen Babes Wodumo and kwaito star Mampintsha are officially husband and wife after they tied the knot in a traditional wedding on Sunday (25 April).
The couple flooded social media with pictures and videos of their wedding attended by close family and friends.
Babes the Wololo hit-maker stunningly wore a black and red traditional attire while her husband and groomsmen wore the traditional Zulu regalia.
In a pictured shared on her Instagram Babes said ‘Thank You God.’
Congratulatory messages for the newlyweds were pouring in on social media, from industry friends and followers with the #BabeswedsMampintsha being on the top trends on South African twitter.
A user identified as @IkhehlaLeChina added a spicy comment directed to those who thought the couple would never make it to marriage because of their much publicized domestic issues saying;
“Y’all thought it will end in tears nashweba. It ended in marriage. Y’all will learn to mind your business from today onwards. #BabeswedsMampintsha.
Another user @lerato_macintosh said, “Aw Whitney n bobby…. Congratulations.”
Last year in October Mampintsha real name Mandla Maphumulo went down on one knee during a live radio program on Gagasi FM and proposed to Babes whose real name is Bongekile Simelane.
In December Mampintsha then secured his wife the cultural way by paying lobola for Babes.
