Social media is up in flames as Nigerian singer Davido, real name David Adeleke, is spotted kissing with model Mya Yafai. Everyone is asking what happened to Chioma whom he sang about in his “Assurance” hit track.
Over the past week there has been speculation that Davido and the mother of his son, Chioma Rowland, are going through a relationship crisis.
Recent pictures of Davido kissing with Yafai have fueled rumours that the ‘Jowo’ singer has found a new love interest.
In the pictures that have been trending on social media, Davido and Mya seem so “boo’d up”. One picture showed the pretty model taking her position on Davido’s laps while sticking her tongue into his mouth.
Davido became the number 1 trending topic as legions of Nigerians shared their views on the cozy pictures.
A tweet by @oddfelix said, “No!! Davido better not be cheating on Chioma. No one will ever love like Chioma.
Another Twitter user @adonis54 said, “I always knew he no be good for lady like Chioma. He full of Wahala this one.”
The picture has sparked outrage as many Nigerians vent their anger at Davido for ‘cheating’ on Chioma. Optimistic fans have suggested that the pictures could be from a music video they are shooting.
@AfrokonnectNG said, “Is it bad for Davido to give Chioma and Mya Yafai assurance though? Davido isn’t cheating on Chioma, he can’t even cheat on her cos there’s Assurance already, that’s just another movie scene. Yoruba men don’t cheat.”
As much as many would want to believe that there is no romantic relationship between the model and music star, Mya has raised suspicions that she could be guilty by deactivating her Instagram account.
This is not the first time the two have been spotted together. In February they made headlines when they were seen together during Davido’s vacation in the Caribbean.
Mya is known for having her eyes on top celebrities and going where the money is. She was once in a lesbian relationship with American rapper Young M.A.
Davido has in the meantime not commented on the issue.
