Sjava cleared of rape charges… South Africans want Lady Zamar cancelled
South African musician Jabulani Hadebe affectionately known as Sjava has been cleared of the rape charges that have been hovering over him for months.
Yesterday a court in Limpopo ruled that there was no evidence to pin Sjava to rape and therefore the case was dismissed.
Sjava was being accused of raping his ex girlfriend musician Lady Zamar in 2017 at a hotel in Thohoyandou, Limpopo after a concert.
Sjava felt the heat of these charges as he was cancelled by many shows. In August he debuted in popular local soap, Uzalo and got dropped before making landmarking strides in the show.
South Africans have reacted to this news by demanding all shows, television channels and radio stations to cancel Lady Zamar for false accusations against their favourite artiste.
#LadyZamar has been trending.
Below are some of the comments on the matter.
Can we also boycott Lady Zamar’s music. Sjava lost a lot of money. Awards and dignity because of lady Zamar #LadyZamarMustFall
So since Sjava has been found innocent are we going to cancel lady zama or only men get cancelled? #LadyZamarMustFall https://t.co/rrlN4A5J5e
