Malawi President Lazarus Chakwera has confirmed the death of Vice President Saulos Klaus Chilima in the crash of a military aircraft, that went missing on Monday. Chilima and 9 other passengers on board were killed on impact.
MALAWI - An aircraft carrying Malawi's Vice-President Saulos Chilima and nine other people is reported to have gone missing, the president's office has confirmed.
Malawi’s Anti-Corruption Bureau has arrested the country’s Vice President Saulos Chilima over corruption allegations, it said on Friday. Chilima is accused of accepting money and other items in exchange for awarding government contracts, the ACB said in a statement.
