South African actress and model Natasha Thahane has announced that she has split from football star, Thembinkosi Lorch, saying that while the two were going their separate ways, they would remain friends.
Thahane and Lorch, who recently transferred to cash-flush Pretoria side Mamelodi Sundowns, were one of Mzansi’s golden couples, whose popularity soared after pictures of their vacation went viral on social media. The two have one child together.
Thahane broke the news about her pregnancy in 2022, showcasing her baby bump in a stunning photo-shoot, sharing the snaps with thousands of her followers.
In an Instagram post, Thahane confirmed that they had indeed call it quits.
“Thembinkosi Lorch and I have mutually decided to part ways romantically. Despite the change in our relationship, we will remain friends and co-parents. I am looking forward to this new chapter of my life. #NewBeginnings.”
While the two had chosen to keep private in the past, Thahane confirmed in a 2021 Podcast and Chill episode that she was a lady in love.
“I’m very happy. I’m treated well, thank you babe. We see each other past our professions. It’s just human, I’ve connected with his soul,” she said.
