AKA’s new app is getting slated by some of his fans

The Run Jozi hitmaker partnered with Vodacom to launch his new venture, which is called the ‘AKA Beam World’ app.

The app “will reveal personal and never-before-seen content to AKA’s fans, allowing unprecedented access” to his life.

Users will also be able to stream his new album, Touch My Blood.

Thank You to everyone who came out to the launch of my app yesterday! ???? @Vodacom let’s make this epic!! Available for download now! ???????? #AKAWorldApp #TouchMyBlood ⭐️ pic.twitter.com/0bie4J8gtD

While many of his fans were excited about the app, some questioned the R3-a-day price, which means forking out R90 plus a month.

“I don’t care about context, but broer clearly doesn’t know his fans,” one Twitter user wrote.

Another added: “I can’t a whole R90.”

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, AKA is confident his fans will support his app.

“People buy my albums, people come to my shows. That costs money. People support me, so…” he told the publication.

The rapper added that we live in a digital world and launching the app makes sense.

“If you look at the success of a Kim Kardashian app or other personalities who have apps, musicians that have apps, it is something that I needed to do… The timing is perfect. When you have an app like this, the possibilities are endless, especially in music.” The Ciziten.
